Hi, I’m David M. Green. Comedian, writer, etc. originally from Adelaide, now based in Melbourne, Australia. Here’s a shower eel:

I’ve written for a few TV shows, including the ABC TV comedy series Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell. I also co-created the early 90s talk show parody Good Afternoon Adelaide and my quiz show 31 Questions aired on community stations around Australia, New Zealand & South Africa.

You may have seen me on TikTok making jokes about old TV commercials from the 90s. Those clips are from my web series VHS Revue, where I trawl through old video tapes looking for strange and funny stuff.

I’ve also been published in/on The Guardian, The Age, ABC Online, Herald Sun, The Chaser Quarterly, mX and Popular Science, to name a few.

Congratulations on reading this far. Continue only if you are a die hard fan and/or nut.

I began creating radio comedy in 2006 with The Green Room on Flinders University Student Radio, which had a slot on Radio Adelaide 101.5FM. Other shows include Brain Damage (autumn 2007), Pow-Wow (summer 2007/08) and my favourite: On The Yacht (summer 2008/09). I’ve interviewed some interesting people and made regular guest appearances on 891 ABC Adelaide, Adelaide’s Fresh 92.7FM and Melbourne’s SYN 90.7FM. In 2009, I was writer/co-host for THE Big Show on the Triple M Network. As a professional voice-actor, my voice and I have appeared in video games, radio commercials and answering machines all over Australia.

After moving to Melbourne in 2010, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at RMIT University and worked on many shows with RMITV Student Television, culminating in three seasons of 31 Questions.

In 2011/12, I was the panel operator for ‘The Steve Vizard Show’ on (the short-lived) Melbourne Talk Radio MTR1377 and since April 2012, I’ve panelled syndicated radio for Crocmedia/Sports Entertainment Network, including their flagship program ‘AFL Nation’ (formerly ‘AFL Live‘) and many others. Additionally, I’ve written and produced content for ‘The Science Show’ on ABC Radio National and done a little producing for ‘Mornings with Jon Faine’ on 774 ABC Melbourne. I’ve also worked for Tennis Australia during the Australian Open as an audio operator at Rod Laver Arena.

As an emcee, I’ve worked for Quiz Meisters Trivia and DJ Masters. If you were married in Victoria in 2012, there’s a slight chance I was the emcee at your wedding (maybe go back and double check the video?). I’ve dabbled in stand-up comedy on and off since 2008 and in 2016, I performed my first solo show ‘Fan Club’ at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

A keen-ish environmentalist and connoisseur of tea and fine soft drinks, I also enjoy golf, badminton, motion pictures, the cranberry, light-rail, booth seating, Scrabble, collecting obscure ’80s New Wave records, loitering with friends, and generally having a laugh. Oh and I have a wife and son now. I love them very much.

CV – David M. Green
