Here’s the final arrangement of the 31 Questions Season 3 Crowdfunder Map. Welcome to the club, France, Sweden and New Zealand:

69 donations from 7 countries. Incredible.
Just for a comparison, we raised US$1,846 on our last campaign, which was something like AUD$1,700 (exchange rate wasn’t on our side). And this is where our 72 Season TWO crowdfunders were:

It really is The People’s Game Show. Having said that, there are people in Africa, South America and Asia too. Probably. You certainly wouldn’t know if by looking at these maps.
Okay! Now we got the cash…
LET’S MAKE THIS FREAKING TV GAME SHOW!

Kind regards,
David M. Green
Kids, don’t smoke.
Yes. Yes! YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!
We’re back in the crowdfundorium that is Indiegogo to raise some legal tender for the production of our third and most likely final season of 31 Questions – coming 2014 to your local community TV station and/or Internet.
If this is your first visit to my website and you’ve never heard of 31 Questions, you’re a dull boy, Billy.
This is what it’s all about:

If you like what you see and would like to help MAKE the TV game show everyone’s listening about, go to our campaign page on Indiegogo and make a contribution. Like last time, there’s also some fabulous merchandise on offer, including badges.
Did I mention we got badges?
I’ve never seen my semen under a microscope, but I imagine it looks something like that.
We also have NEW MUGS! They’re like the badges, but with a larger concavity at the rear, perfect for holding liquids, if you know what I mean:
Like last time, we’re also keeping track of our crowdfunder locations on this planet of ours (to the nearest suburb). 3 days in and we’ve already had donations from FOUR different countries! And New Zealand isn’t even one of them!
Check out our fabulous Season 3 Crowdfunder Map as it gradually becomes infected with more and more little blue markers:

As of writing this blog entry, we’ve already raised an amazing $570! The goal this time is $5,000, so we’re already more than 10% of the way there.
Last season, we managed to raise $1,846 and that was fantastic, but it still left a large gap between that figure and the actual cost of making season 2. And this time we’re hoping to invest in a totally new set and pay some of the key crew members.
Ahh community television. It’s a low price to pay for total creative freedom.
Big thank you to all our contributors so far. I’ll post the full list of names at the end of the campaign after December 14, and of course every donor will get a special thanks in the show’s credits.
And merchandise is, if not in, then on the way to being in, the mail.
Kind regards,
David M. Green
Past tense of Indiegogo? Indiewentwent.
31 Questions S2E02 aired on C31 Melbourne & Geelong on Saturday 3 August 2013. Could we have conjured a more “game showy” picture than the one in the above YouTube preview image?
If so, I’d like to see it.
Anthony McCormack did a sensational job editing/booty-shaking this one. And I love his Don Bradman gag. Sequentially, this was actually the third episode we shot for this season, and from memory there were quite a lot of problems that night. So it’s good to see it wasn’t a complete write-off (like the first two!).
Other 31Q things…
Thursday evening marked my first time on Melbourne radio station 3AW. I had a chat with Philip Brady, Simon Owens and John Blackman about the show (mainly mine, not so much theirs). Both John and Simon have made appearances on 31 Questions. Their episodes are coming up in the next few weeks.
Amazingly in this media-saturated modern world of ours, the 3AW webcam video of my interview was on YouTube within minutes. Saves me uploading the audio myself. Check it out (stay watching right til the end to see some innovative signaling from the panel operator):
Here’s an interesting bit of news. I was about to reveal it on 3AW before getting sidetracked, but in our upcoming fifth episode – which was actually the sixth one we taped and will air in Melbourne on August 24 – not only is that the episode John Blackman makes an appearance, but the dude contestant that week is Rohan Zorz, who just Monday entered the Big Brother house as a “latecomer” contestant on Channel Nine!?!

I find this all very bizarre. Usually Big Brother contestants appear on game shows AFTER they’re kicked out of the house.
Read Rohan’s profile on the Big Brother website (if you dare visit a reality television website).
Unfortunately, a cursory glance at the #BBAU tweets shows a general hatred of Rohan. Exactly how this legion of teenage girls with anti-Rohan agendas will affect 31 Questions is yet to be fully understood.
And lastly, due to repeated requests for fabulous 31 Questions merchandise, I’ve set up an online store on Big Cartel. Check out our NEW 31 Questions 31-Stop Shop!
At the moment, we’ve got the classic DMG mug for sale for the reduced price of $20. We’re working on some new designs, so keep checking to see what we’ve got in stock. All proceeds will go towards the future of 31 Questions (there’s already been talk of a third season 😉 ).
See you Saturday for Ep 3.
Kind regards,
David M. Green
Still not going to watch Big Brother.
