If you live somewhere other than Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney or New Zealand, just try to imagine your favourite message without any geographic references.
S2E03 of 31 Questions premiered on C31 Melbourne & Geelong Saturday evening. See above.
I enjoyed repeatedly slapping Anthony. And special thanks to this week’s contestants Richard and Simone. It was a tight game. Though not quite as tight as THIS WEEK’S game… Tune in on C31 Melbourne & Geelong Saturday 8.30PM (Look out for cameos from Dan Ilic and Rex Hunt!).
In other news, to the surprise of many (including us), Season 2 began airing in Brisbane this week! It’s now on the 31 Digital schedule, Tuesdays 9PM. Those Queenslanders have obviously been preoccupied with deciding the next federal government, so no hard feelings. It’s not like they also did it last year as well.
Na, Brisbane you’re great.
We were due to start airing in New Zealand on Wednesday, but thanks to our good friends at Australia Post, we’re now premiering NEXT week: 9.30PM Wednesdays on Face Television from August 21. Apologies if you haven’t worked out how to use YouTube.
But more importantly… 31 Questions BEGINS IN SYDNEY TONIGHT 9.30!
That’s me aged 9 in Darling Harbour. I assume that water feature is still there? I remember being excited because I’d seen it in the opening (or was it the closing?) titles of Aerobics Oz-Style before Agro’s Cartoon Connection. Anyway Sydney, I’ll talk to YOU on Twitter later this evening.
As for Adelaide… well I discovered their fabulous community television station has gone through some structural changes recently. I’m not sure exactly why. But I do know that their name, phone number and address have all changed. I also discovered this after I mailed them the first 2 episodes. In a media format they no longer accept.
As far as I can tell, it’s no longer called “44 Adelaide”, but rather “Channel 44”. Good move, in my opinion. Why limit yourself to Adelaide? They’re looking at the big picture. And the picture is magnificent. Assuming you’re in the Adelaide metropolitan area where the picture is transmitted.
Doesn’t look like 31 Questions will be airing in Adelaide until September or October. Though we might get a repeat of our first season before they start showing Season 2. I’ll keep you updated.
I’ve been getting more requests for ways you can throw money at me, and to a lesser extent, the show. I can now announce there are TWO types of mugs available from the 31 Questions online store:
Perfect for holding all types of liquids. And for the fabulous price of $20 + postage, you can support me, 31 Questions, community television AND own a mug.
It’s taken 16 months but FINALLY, we have a new episode of The Good Show, my sketch comedy podcast with TV’s Anthony McCormack.
They say 9 out of 10 podcasts fail within their first 5 episodes. Don’t ask me who said that. I don’t know. Actually, I suppose I said that. Yeah, you can just quote me.
Although, I’d like to see the stats on how many podcasts are put on hold due to no access to a studio AND because the hosts are too busy making TWO seasons of a TV show… Though I suspect the answer is The Good Show.
Among sketches about cheeseburgers, tractors and expensive hookers, Anthony and I also discuss our upcoming second season of 31 Questions – the TV game show of that name.
In fact, the Season 2 PREMIER EPISODE is on Channel 31 Melbourne & Geelong this Saturday 27 July 8.30PM! That’s a convenient 90 minutes earlier than last year’s time slot.
At this time I can also tell you 31 Questions will air in Perth on WTV at the dangerously family-friendly time of Sundays 11.30AM from August 4, with a repeat Mondays 3.30PM from August 5. We’re apparently going for the early crowd over in WA.
Across the Tasman Sea, catch 31 Questions in New Zealand on Face Television Wednesdays 9.30PM from August 14. And if you hop a plane to Sydney, you can watch it again on TVS Thursdays 9.30PM from August 15.
Still waiting to get our time slots from 44 Adelaide and 31 Digital Brisbane. There may also be some extra repeat time slots, but I can assure you once I get them, I’ll keep them secret and refuse to give them to you.
And did I mention we were on the TV Tonight website?
Just ignore the bit where he lapses back into the press release.
Alan Brough joins me on the latest episode of David M. Green and Other Famous People. You can download the podcast from iTunes or listen below for Alan Brough’s circa 2007 thoughts on fridges, acting, comedy, Spicks and Specks, Kevin Rudd vs. Julia Gillard and early 90s New Zealand butter commercials.

New episode of my other podcast The Good Show coming very soon.
As of 8.31PM this evening New Zealand time, 31 Questions became an internationally broadcast TV game show!
Season 1 is now airing Thursdays 8.30PM on Face TV, which is available everywhere in New Zealand on Sky Channel 089 AND on the old “Triangle TV” free-to-air frequencies in these respected parts of Auckland:
Waiatarua UHF 41 or 631.25 MHz
Remuera UHF 52 or 719.25 MHz
Pine Hill UHF 42 or 639.25 MH
Meanwhile, our crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo has now raised $1,105 for Season 2- That’s 10% over our goal! Of course, we do need a little more money than that to shoot the whole second season. But the first thousand bucks is certainly a big load off my mind.
Thank YOU so much.
We’ve still got 3 weeks left on the campaign and we’ve still got plenty of mugs and headshots to give away.
But if you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time for you to become just like THESE crazed fans (shown here in order of least to most crazy):
Yeeeeaaaaahhhh…
Sweet dreams.
Kind regards,
David M. Green
She’s RUINED a perfectly good headshot!?!
