  • Personal Pow-Wow Tour

    Hello etc.

If you’ve often found yourself trying hard to use your limited listener imagination to assemble some sort of crude visualisation of what it might be like being inside a radio station’s on-air studio, well you may as well give up trying right now, for two reasons. 1) Science has proven it’s useless to use your imagination, so go buy a carton of cigarettes immediately, and 2) I’ve made this video… just for you…

Now I’ll “see you” on… well, no that’s still not the case… I’ll see a microphone and try to imagine what you look like (but be warned, I’ll probably imagine some sort of hideous alien 40,000 years in the future listening to me on some distant planet… I have quite the imagination!) on Pow-Wow! Wednesday nights 11pm on Radio Adelaide 101.5FM.

    Kind regards,
    David M. Green

  • Pete Smith Speaking (in an interview… obviously)

Hello you (you know who you are…),

Coming up on Pow-Wow show 3, 11pm Wednesday December 19th 2007 is an interview with Channel Nine voice-over guy Pete Smith. You may remember him (or just his voice) from such shows as Micallef Tonight, Sale of the Century and Martin/Molloy. He also did the voice-over for the 1982 TV Week Logie Awards… according to a clip I found on YouTube.

If you can’t tune into Radio Adelaide 101.5FM, then download the podcast from the Pow-Wow page (once it airs, of course) or by-pass the show all together and just listen to the interview on the Interviews page. There’s 3 options for you. Alternatively you could just not listen at all; after all, you’re a busy man or woman. There’s 4 things you could do. Feel free to submit others via the ‘comments’ function available on this blog post’s individual page.

    Kind regards,

  • Pow-Wow Begins!

     Greetings!

    You know who you are…

Just a friendly reminder to you, the browser, that the comedy show Radio Adelaide station management didn’t want you to hear, Pow-Wow, commences this Wedesday December 5th at 11pm Adelaide time on Radio Adelaide 101.5FM. Tune in if you’re in the Adelaide metro area or listen online at http://www.radio.adelaide.edu.au/ OR if you can’t listen then, or for some reason actually want to listen to the show multiple times, if that’s the case you might want to try establishing a social life, but if that’s out of the question, download the whole show from this very website (once it airs obviously). Just click on the “Pow-Wow” page and scroll down a bit to the “podcasts” section.

Add Pow-Wow as a friend on myspace! Just go to www.myspace.com/powwowradio and click on “add to friends.”

See you on the airwaves (not literally)!

    Powerfully yours,

  • Sketches Re-Played

    Hi there,

Can’t get enough David M. Green? Well, unsurprising really, there’s only 1 of him and as the fundamental fault of economics states: resources are limited, but desires are infinite. However, this piece of information could assist in budgeting the limited supply of David M. Green, just that little bit further…

Starting Monday November 19th 2007, you can hear comedy sketches (some old, some new), many if not written by, then featuring, David M. Green, as they are broadcast in the form of an audio-based comedy segment on the Radio Adelaide breakfast show with Peter Godfrey! The segment is entitled “The Comic Oasis,” indicating an isolated haven of laughter in an otherwise barren comedy void… haha, I joke… Peter Godfrey’s a pretty funny guy! So if you’re awake at approximately 8:20am Adelaide time (I know I won’t be), tune into Radio Adelaide 101.5FM if you’re in the Adelaide metro area, or otherwise listen online at www.radio.adelaide.edu.au, if for nothing else than the zany segment intro and outro. I’m informed this will become a week-daily breakfast show tradition at 8:20am, at least until they run out of sketches to play, or Peter Godfrey gets sick of them. My money’s on the later outcome…

And a reminder too, you can also hear past sketches and segments from Radio Adelaide’s finest comedy show “Brain Damage” (25% hosted by David M. Green) as they’re re-broadcast on “The Wild Wild Westmar Show” on The KChost Radio Network, based in Kansas City, Missouri. Listen online at www.kchost.net Tuesdays 6PM-9PM USA Central Standard Time (sometime Wednesday morning Adelaide time, depending on daylight savings) or on one of “The Wild Wild Westmar Show’s” many, many affiliate stations. And a “big-ups” (whatever that means) to Brad Westmar, quite possibly the re-incarnation of David M. Green (assuming he had access to a time machine, as he’s actually older than David), for noticing some sketches hidden away on a myspace page, and reaching out a hand offerring some much-welcomed air time!

And of course, for those of you patient enough (or who are reading this in the future, after what I’m about to prelude has already occurred), sit tight because coming soon to this very website are many many sketches, segments, videos, podcasts and various other comedy/radio-related “clips” for your devourment… I’d put them up now but… I’m studying for my final exams… I only did this Behavioural Science Degree so I could get involved with Flinders University Student Radio, which now doesn’t exist… shame, but oh man, don’t get me started on that!

    Adidas!

    Kind regards,
    David M. Green

  • davidmgreen.com has arrived!

Greetings there fellow David M. Green enthusiast!

It’s me… David M. Green (the guy in the above photo…)! Welcome to my website! Enough with the exclamation marks already… More information, photos, audio & video downloads and other David M. Green comedy paraphernalia will appear on this website over the next few weeks. In the mean time, check out:

for more mind numbing japery! And keep a watchful eye out (poor analogy for a non-visual medium plug) for my new comedy show “Pow-Wow” starting Wednesday December 5th 2007 11pm-midnight on Radio Adelaide 101.5FM (www.radio.adelaide.edu.au) and every Wednesday at 11pm until at least the end of summer (southern hemisphere summer obviously… so that’s until the end of February…).
