  • Showreel… or “Showreel Parody?” You Decide.

Greetings TO you (emphasis on the delivery of the greeting, rather than on whoever you are… not that I don’t appreciate your gesture coming here and reading my blog. Kid, you’re alright.),

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4iOBEsO1jE

Just above as you can clearly see (unless you don’t have flashplayer… or you’re blind, but then you couldn’t read this so I don’t know why I’m even preparing for that possibility) is an embedded YouTube video. And that particular video is my (David M. Green’s) showreel, demonstrating my TV-presenting and comic abilities. I made it last year through TV Pro-Global (they filmed it and edited it. I wrote and presented it). At times I can’t remember if I was making a proper showreel or a parody of one… hehe, man I’m funny though!

So if you’re a TV executive or similar, feel free to let me host/present your programme/commercial/corporate function/political campaign rally/friend’s wedding. On the other hand… if you’re just a regular sap like me, try to imagine ME hosting a teen hype show… now that’s comedy!

    Kind regards,
    David M. Green
I’ll show you my showreel if you show me yours… your fishing reel would also be acceptable.

  • Roy Llama on 891 ABC Adelaide’s “The Evening Show with Peter Goers”

    Hi Ho Everybody!

Just letting you know that I, David M. Green, will be appearing along with fellow wits Michael Princi, Nathan Sharrad and Nick Godfrey, on 891AM ABC Adelaide’s “The Evening Show with Peter Goers” this Thursday the 21st of February 2008 at 8:15pm. Tune into ABC 891AM if you’re in the general Adelaide area (or in the Silver City of Broken Hill, NSW).

Our guest appearance will take the form of a 15-minute comedy segment, where we attempt to humorously inform the ranks of mature and enlightened intellectual listeners of ABC 891 about the qualms, tribulations, eccentricities and general goings-on of “those damn young people!” If you miss it, not to worry, because if all goes according to our grand plan… The clip will be available for download on this very website! Simply click right HERE to listen!

David M. Green, Michael Princi, Nathan Sharrad & Nick Godfrey: Together, we are Roy Llama!

    Kind regards,
    David M. Green
    Hail to the Llama!

  • Richard Marsland off the buttons and on Pow-Wow!

Good morning/afternoon/evening fair and trusted listener,

David M. Green here, the inventor of this website, just letting you know that this week on my “comedy” show “Pow-Wow” I’ll be interviewing Richard Marsland. Those of you with a functioning long-term memory would remember he as the panel operator and 3rd host (along with Radio’s Tony Martin & Ed Kavalee) of former Triple M comedy show “Get This,” which is in my opinion the greatest radio show ever. I can sympathise with their predicament of being axed because they were too funny for Triple M (as it was, Pow-Wow was barely approved by Radio Adelaide; thus our tagline “too funny for Radio Adelaide”).

But anyway, tune in to Pow-Wow Wednesday January 30th at 11pm Adelaide time by tuning your radio to Radio Adelaide 101.5FM if you reside in the Adelaide metropolitan area. Otherwise, listen online at www.radio.adelaide.edu.au. Alternatively, if you believe you can wait until sometime Thursday afternoon, download the podcast from this very website… well, more accurately, you’d need to go to the Pow-Wow page, which you can do so by clicking right here.

We’ll be talking about his time on Get This (obviously), as well as his younger years here in Adelaide on community radio and Channel 7’s “AM Adelaide” with Anne Wills and some other things that I’ve forgotten… so listen out for that!

    Kind regards,
    Radio’s David M. Green
    (I panelled this time)

  • David M. Green-Bot

The toy everyone’s talking about this year…

    is David M. Green-Bot!

  • Pete Smith Speaking (in an interview… obviously)

Hello you (you know who you are…),

Coming up on Pow-Wow show 3, 11pm Wednesday December 19th 2007 is an interview with Channel Nine voice-over guy Pete Smith. You may remember him (or just his voice) from such shows as Micallef Tonight, Sale of the Century and Martin/Molloy. He also did the voice-over for the 1982 TV Week Logie Awards… according to a clip I found on YouTube.

If you can’t tune into Radio Adelaide 101.5FM, then download the podcast from the Pow-Wow page (once it airs, of course) or by-pass the show all together and just listen to the interview on the Interviews page. There’s 3 options for you. Alternatively you could just not listen at all; after all, you’re a busy man or woman. There’s 4 things you could do. Feel free to submit others via the ‘comments’ function available on this blog post’s individual page.

    Kind regards,
This is David M. Green typing
